As usual when I went to church tonight i had my P90 inna shoulder rig. with the church shootings goin on in the past 2 yrs i started bringin my gun in instead of leavin it in the truck. I use the .45 becaus i practice with that gun at long range ( for a pistol) and if im sittin in the center of the sanctuary i can hit any of the 5 doors comin in, and the entire area is in a comfortable range for me, well after church i was talkin to the Pastr and he went to slap me on the back, as he did this he felt my shoulder rig, then he looked at me and said "thank you, Im glad to know you have that" Its a cryin shame when I feel like I need to carry my gun in my Lords house to worship. I dont carry it to make a point. like other ppl are doin, or to exercise my rights, but because I believe its nessessary to the saftey of my family, and our church. and to be honest it botheres me a lot that the world has come to a point where I have to carry in church

Re: Brought my gun to church today
Sun, July 26, 2009 - 8:17 PMit used to bother me to no end that my husband carried EVERYWHERE. It did, we fought a lot about it. I have come to a sense of conclusion, he would not be himself if he didn't have it. It's his 'skin' so it needs to be.
mmm
yea.. hard one -

Re: Brought my gun to church today
Wed, August 5, 2009 - 7:29 PMMy wife looked at me funny the first year or so I carried, but later in years she came to be comforted by having it. She got used to it easily enough.
I always carries to church. People get shot in Church surprisingly enough. Ex's get pissed and go looking for their wives, bipolar parishioners think God has told them to go kill... It happens the same there as anywhere. I personally do not like going into gun free xzones unless it offers armed security to offset my having to surrender my carry piece.
I don't carry to be cool. I carry for the same reasons I have car insurance, and seatbelts, and health insurance, and locks on the door, etc.
