So I got a couple of new guns. I got a 3030 levergun, and a Star 1911 clone (or near clone) and an old Nylon 22. The Star fed three mags without a jam so I loaded it up with ball ammo and slapped it into a fake book on a shelf. The levergun I already took camping.
I have been busy reloading all the components I had been buying for years during the days of plenty ammo. I just found a good 105gr load for my 243, and the 110 grain Speer JSPs hit sharpley to point of aim in my Blackhawk.
I went looking for Saltpeter and sulpher at a drug store and they did not sell any. They said to go to the feed store?

Wed, July 15, 2009 - 2:29 AM3030 winchester? I have always wanted one of those. I would like to put a wide ring lever on it so I can spin it one handed to cock it. like john wayne. Ever think of putting a weird trigger activator like the RIFLEMAN? -

Fri, July 17, 2009 - 8:22 PMXtreme: I got a Marlin 30-30. I have almost the same gun in 45-70. The new gun is classic style (no hammer block, no porting, , not drilled on top) 3030 is such a capable cartridge.
Oak: Doing some deer hunting? Are you really gonna scope it, or maybe a sexy little holosight? That model they build for the shotgun should take a 44.
Sean: There is a commemorative levergun out for the Rifleman series. Complete with the auto trigger that made that opening sequence so memorable. I watched the show just to see that guy crank out a few rounds of 40-60 in the opening credits. -

Re: New gunz
Fri, July 17, 2009 - 8:34 PMI have the Marlin, great gun! I chose not to scope it cause I'm pretty good with the iron sites out about 150 yds. -

Re: New gunz
Sat, July 18, 2009 - 5:07 PMI will probabll take it out a time or two deer hunting but as far as the scope is concerned, most times have no use for it as terrain in the ohio area I hunt makes for fairly close shots. -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.
Re: New gunz
Wed, August 5, 2009 - 7:24 PMI have always disliked the Nylons, in fact I'll probably sell it or trade it while it demands a high price. Just never cottoned to the gun. Plastic piece of shit. I'd rather have an AR7 (Actually I do but it's broken right now.)
