Re: Need a reason to get a Class 3 license?
Wed, September 19, 2007 - 8:14 PMActually the SBR (short barrel rifles) require a $200 tax stamp. Unfortunately a Class III licence costs a lot more (including a ton o paperwork & background check. But these short rifles must be transferred through a class III dealer who can process the tax stamp.
That is an awesome rifle on that link. I liked the co-pilot best. Stainless steel, right length, great stock finish. -

Thu, September 20, 2007 - 8:03 AMWell, okay, but it is at least motivation enough to find a class 3 licensed FFL. Any NFA item requires a $200 stamp, though... there's just no getting around it.

Re: Need a reason to get a Class 3 license?
Thu, September 20, 2007 - 8:01 AMIn short, no.
I don't like revolvers with barrels longer than 6", and I prefer 4". The Bushwhacker, on the other hand, is a short-barreled rifle and looks a lot easier to manage. Plus, it looks like the most bad-ass thing ever. -

Re: Need a reason to get a Class 3 license?
Thu, September 20, 2007 - 10:52 AMI'll take my short barreled pump action 12 Gauge for those up close and personal moments.
There's nothing like the sound of a round being chambered in a pump action.
I ring every odd round for maximum impact. I can drop a moose with a ringed load. -

Re: Need a reason to get a Class 3 license?
Fri, September 21, 2007 - 10:05 AMOh, no doubt. Nothing can take the place of a good shotgun. As far as practicality goes, I'd take a Remington 870 over that Bushwhacker any day. I just think the Bushwhacker is a neat novelty item.
