Re: Any AK owners out there?
Thu, July 26, 2007 - 8:31 AMI have an AK,I have used an M-16/AR-15 in combat and do not like the reliability. You can drop the ak in the mud ,come back a month later pick it up and shoot it,The AR gets a little grime in the buffer and it jams. The only disadvantage to the AK as oppossed to the AR is the weight of the weapon and ammo.

Re: Any AK owners out there?
Mon, July 30, 2007 - 4:59 PMI have one for every adult in my household, three. The Bulgarian that my father gave to me for Christmas, the older Romanian that I'm fixing up for my fiancee, and a Polish folder that I'm probably going to sell next week to help pay for my wedding and honeymoon.
I like AKs if you couldn't tell. I would like to get an AR-15, and in the future, I'd like to replace the Polish folder with an RPK, legal of course. -

Re: Any AK owners out there?
Sat, August 4, 2007 - 9:10 PMI really want a Krink, but I don't think you can buy a true krink, even with the $200 tax stamp. Everything I've seen is Krinks either with no stock, or Krinks with a permanent barrel extention.
Actually I want Osoma's Krink. That'd be a helluva trophy. Unfortunately it is probably buried under a few tons of rocks in the Afphan mountains. -

Re: Any AK owners out there?
Thu, August 23, 2007 - 9:06 PMI've found a place in shotgun news that sells krinks. I'd have to pay the $200 tax stamp to the Govt, but I think I'll buy one. It's either that or a Yugo underfolder, but the Krink would be a lot shorter. Good bedroom gun. -

Re: Any AK owners out there?
Mon, August 27, 2007 - 8:38 AMI don't have an AK, but I had an underfolder on my SKS for a while. It wasn't very nose-heavy, but I didn't care for the feel. I went back to a solid frame, and it feels much more stable. -

Re: Any AK owners out there?
Tue, August 28, 2007 - 8:43 PMI have a class III Russian AK with a full wooden stock. I thought about an underfolder but it already climbs enough, the light stock would make it crazy> I'd be shooting all over the place like a crazy towelhead. Those guys are the worst fucking shots in the world, no wonder the Jews are kicking their asses all the time.

Re: Any AK owners out there?
Mon, September 3, 2007 - 11:03 AMThe underfolders don't weigh any more than the solid stocks. They're pretty uncomfortable to shoot. I don't think it's worth the extra money. -

Re: Any AK owners out there?
Wed, September 19, 2007 - 11:37 AMI've got two Romanian WASR's and I've got a Bushmaster XM15 carbine. In the end, I'd go with the WASR. I love the 7.62x39mm round and I prefere the heavy and solid construction of the AK in general. It's unquestionably reliable regardless if it's clean or not.

Re: Any AK owners out there?
Thu, September 27, 2007 - 10:51 AMOnce you add your M4 stock you'll have almost the same AK as I do. That folding fore-grip is a great little gizmo. Check out the AK in the Gunversation tribe's title picture. It started out as a simple Romanian AK.
